Former president Daniel Levy sells 25% of Tottenham

Jun 8, 2026

Former Tottenham president Daniel Levy has sold a 24.99% stake in the English club’s parent company, Enic, to an American investment fund.

Following the deal, the financial details of which were not disclosed, Levy now holds a 4.89% stake in Enic.

Levy, 64, stepped down from his role in September 2025 after 24 years in charge of Spurs, having faced heavy criticism over results that fell short of expectations.

However, the 2025–2026 season was one of the club’s worst in recent memory, with the London side avoiding relegation only in the final rounds of the campaign.

Enic sold the stake to Eight Sports Capital, an investment company owned by Triller, an entertainment and technology company which is itself owned by Wing-Fai Ng and Richard Tsai.

Spurs valued at €5 billion

The CEO of Eight Sports Capital is technology entrepreneur Brooklin Earick, who has led the consortium preparing the bid to buy the club since September.

At the time, Tottenham “categorically rejected” the informal expression of interest from the US-based group.

In September, the BBC reported that the club was valued slightly below the €5 billion (£4.2 billion) that Clearlake Capital paid for Chelsea in 2022, which would value a 25% stake at around €1.25 billion (£1 billion).

“We are delighted to have signed this agreement to acquire a significant stake in Enic. We look forward to working with the club’s shareholders, management, staff, players and fans to support Tottenham Hotspur’s continued growth and success,” said a spokesperson for Eight Sports Capital.

An Enic Spokesperson said: “We can confirm that neither Enic nor THFC (Tottenham Hotspur Football Club) are aware of any sale by Daniel Levy’s Family Trust of its minority stake in Enic, THFC’s parent company.

“The THFC board and executive team remain fully focused on delivering the commitments we set out to fans at the end of the season.”
