RC Lens will once again be outfitted by Adidas starting next season, switching from Puma, with the French team renewing its sponsorship agreement with the retailer Auchan.

The German sporting goods giant returns to Lens’ uniform after periods from 1975-1994 and 2011-2014, in a five-year deal.

“Adidas will support Racing through a comprehensive partnership that combines brand image, technical performance and distribution. The ‘three stripes’ brand will also contribute to the development of the club’s merchandising activities, expanding its lines of sportswear and casual wear,” says the club that recently won the French Cup.

For the first time, a women’s version of the official uniforms will be available in the official stores of the club from Northern France.

Auchan until 2031

Lens has also renewed its sponsorship agreement with Auchan for five seasons, until the 2030-2031 season. “A decade has passed and it’s not over yet!”, the team announced in a statement.

“More than a simple partnership, it’s a true shared history that continues to be emblazoned on the front of the red-and-gold shirt,” the statement reads, recalling Auchan’s deep roots in the northern region of France.

The president of Lens declared: “This extension, even as we celebrate ten consecutive seasons of collaboration this year, attests to the strength of the ties built over time between our two institutions, but also a shared vision, driven by values ​​deeply rooted in our region.”

“This extension is not based solely on sporting results. It is based, above all, on the quality of human relationships cultivated over many years, on a genuine commitment to the region and on the daily involvement of those who bring this partnership to life, both within the group and the club,” he added.

The two deals come after a successful season for Lens, finishing second in Ligue 1 behind only PSG, which secured their return to the Champions League next season. Last month, Lens won the first-ever French Cup after beating Nice 3-1 at the Stade de France.
