Diego Simeone is the highest-paid coach at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. The Argentine manager of Atlético Madrid earns €34 million per year — well ahead of the competition.
This is the ranking of the 10 highest-paid coaches who will participate in the FIFA Club World Cup, according to data compiled by Finance Football. The new FIFA competition involving the best teams in the world will take place from June 15 to July 13.
Second on the list is Pep Guardiola, who earns a salary of €22.5 million per season as manager of Manchester City.
Another Spaniard completes the podium: Luis Enrique, coach of French side PSG, who earns around €10 million annually.
How much does the Real Madrid manager earn?
Xabi Alonso has just taken over at the helm of Real Madrid, replacing Carlo Ancelotti, who moved to coach the Brazilian national team. The former Leverkusen manager will already be leading Los Merengues at the FIFA Club World Cup.
Alonso is set to earn between €7 and €9 million per season — roughly the same as Vincent Kompany, who earns €8 million as Bayern Munich coach.
Gallardo and Abel Ferreira among the giants
The ranking is mostly composed of European club managers. However, there are two exceptions.
Marcelo Gallardo makes the list, earning an annual salary of €6 million — close to what Simone Inzaghi earns as manager of Inter Milan.
Abel Ferreira also makes his way among the European giants. The Portuguese coach of Palmeiras earns around €5 million, comparable to Enzo Maresca of Chelsea.
Closing the ranking is Niko Kovač. The Croatian coach of Borussia Dortmund has a salary of €3.5 million per season.
