Manchester United secure £20m Betway training kit sponsorship deal

Aug 5, 2026

Manchester United have agreed a new sponsorship deal with Betway for the club’s training kit, with the agreement set to generate £20 million for the Red Devils, according to reports in the British media.

As part of the partnership, Betway will become United’s Principal Partner as well as the club’s exclusive global betting partner.

The agreement covers both the men’s and women’s teams and includes branding rights at Old Trafford and the Progress with Unity Stadium.

While the deal ranks among the most lucrative training kit and sleeve sponsorship agreements in football, it is worth less than the £24 million per year previously paid by Tezos before its partnership with the club expired in 2025.

Manchester United reportedly chose to delay signing a new sponsorship agreement while targeting a return to the UEFA Champions League, hoping to secure a more lucrative commercial deal.

The partnership also reflects a broader shift among betting operators, which are increasingly pursuing alternative sponsorship assets in English football ahead of the Premier League’s ban on front-of-shirt gambling sponsors, due to come into effect next season.

United’s current front-of-shirt sponsor remains Snapdragon, in a deal worth £60 million per season.
