Cristiano Ronaldo has acquired a “significant stake” in LiveModeTV, the international arm of the Brazilian company LiveMode, owner of CazéTV.

The deal, whose financial details were not disclosed, expands the Portuguese international’s investments in the digital media sector, on the eve of the 2026 World Cup.

LiveModeTV was launched at the end of last year in Portugal to offer free digital coverage of the World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada, which begins on June 11.

The platform bases its business on offering premium content at no cost on YouTube, generating revenue through advertising and sponsorships, rather than subscriptions.

In Brazil, LiveMode, a sports media and investment company, acquired CazéTV, founded by YouTuber Casimiro Miguel, which holds the broadcasting rights for all 104 World Cup matches. In 2025, Cazé TV reached a record 3.7 billion unique views on YouTube alone.

“The mission is to put sports out there for everyone, in a whole new inspiring way. Sports can change lives and we want to enrich the ecosystem by enhancing the reach and engagement of major competitions through YouTube broadcasts and content distributed across all social media platforms to all,” said Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese star, at 41 years old, is the most followed person on Instagram, with over 660 million followers, and has his own YouTube channel. His social networks reach 1.2 billion people.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the first football player on the billionaires list, with an estimated fortune of $1.4 billion.

Currently playing for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr, where he is poised to become champion, Ronaldo holds investments in various areas, including real estate and hospitality, health and wellness, industry, media, crypto, and Artificial Intelligence.
