PSG was considered the best team in the world in 2025, after a dream year in which they won Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
It was the first time that a French club was considered the best in the world by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics.
The team led by Luis Enrique managed to dethrone Real Madrid, who dropped to second place in the ranking, followed by Chelsea and Inter, who completed the podium.
In the case of the English club, winning the FIFA Club World Cup in July proved decisive, after defeating PSG in the final.
As for Inter, they were the losing finalists of the Champions League.
Flamengo the best outside Europe
Germany’s Bayern Munich were ranked fifth on the list dominated by European teams. The best club outside Europe is Flamengo, who appear in sixth place, ahead of Barcelona and Arsenal.
The top 10 also includes Palmeiras and Borussia Dortmund, both tied for ninth place.
Overall, the list features only European teams (17) and Brazilian teams (three). The other Brazilian club is Fluminense, in 14th place.
