Flamengo Signs R$900 Million Sponsorship Deal with Betano Through 2028

Flamengo has signed a sponsorship deal with the bookmaker Betano that will bring the Brazilian team nearly R$900 million through 2028.

The contract covers the men’s and women’s professional soccer teams, the Olympic sports, and Flamengo TV.

The Brazilian press highlights that it was a highly competitive process, with several bookmakers interested in appearing on the front of the Flamengo jersey, including SuperBet, which offered R$230 million per season, plus bonuses.

However, Betano won the bid with a proposal of R$265 million per season, plus variables and an additional R$12 million earmarked for tax incentives.

A decisive factor in choosing Betano was the international reach of the bookmaker, owned by Kaizen.

With the largest sponsorship deal in the Brasileirão, Flamengo joins the ranks of major international teams partnering with Betano, such as Sporting and FC Porto.

“Geographic boundaries are being broken down by technology. Betano is already present in these countries. It’s about bringing together a strong company with a strong brand, which is Flamengo,” stated Flamengo’s president.

“We’re activating Bayern Munich and River Plate here in Brazil. We also did something with Aston Villa. This will happen. A business decision like Flamengo’s wasn’t just conceived for Brazil. It’s global. Flamengo will be activated in other markets. We’ll use Flamengo globally,” explained Guilherme Figueiredo, director of Betano in Brazil.
