Top 20 Wealthiest Football Teams in the World 2025

Feb 8, 2025

Real Madrid is the wealthiest team in the world, according to the Deloitte Football Money League 2025.

The Spanish club achieved revenues of €1,045.5 million in the 2023/2024 season, becoming the first team to surpass the €1 billion revenue mark in a single season.

“The club’s financial success during the season was underpinned by the newly renovated and expanded Bernabéu Stadium, which delivered significant uplifts to matchday and commercial revenue over the previous season,” Deloitte said.

Behind the meringues were the Citizens. Manchester City earned €837.8 million, occupying second place in this millionaire ranking. In third place is the French team PSG, with revenues just over €800 million.

Premier League dominates

Nine of the 20 richest teams in the world participate in the Premier League, considered by many to be the best football league in the world.

Despite not having the best of times, Manchester United continues to be a money-making machine: revenue reached €770.6 million last season, placing the Red Devils in fourth position.

Bayern Munich (€765.4 million) and Barcelona (€760.3 million) come next, ahead of an English quartet: Arsenal (€716.5 million), Liverpool (€714.7 million), Tottenham (€615 million) and Chelsea (€545.5 million).

More English teams appear in the second half of the table: Newcastle, West Ham and Aston Villa.

No team outside the Big-5 can reach the top.

Revenue rises 6% to €11.2 billion

Overall, the teams included in Deloitte’s analysis generated a record €11.2 billion last season, an increase of 6% compared to the 2022/2023 season, on the back of historic revenues related to match day, television and commercials.

On average, each team earned €560 million, made up of €244 million (44%) from commercial revenue, €213 million (38%) from broadcast revenue and €103 million (18%) from match day revenue.
