Liverpool have announced a new front-of-shirt sponsorship agreement with Turkish Airlines, in a deal reportedly worth more than £60 million per season.
Under the five-year contract, which will begin in the 2027-28 season, the Reds are set to receive £300 million from the Turkish airline.
Turkish Airlines will replace Standard Chartered, Liverpool’s long-standing principal partner since 2010, on the shirts of the men’s and women’s teams, as well as the club’s youth sides.
Standard Chartered has sponsored Liverpool’s shirts for the past 17 years, with its current agreement understood to be worth around £50 million per season. From next season, the British bank will become a global partner of the club.
Liverpool believe the Turkish Airlines deal will be the most lucrative shirt sponsorship agreement in Premier League history, although Manchester United maintain that their deal with Snapdragon is also worth more than £60 million per season.
Regardless, the new agreement represents a significant commercial milestone for Liverpool, who recorded record revenues of £703 million in the financial year ending 31 May 2025.
The deal comes as the club’s owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), prepare to sell a 38% stake to 1982 Holdings, a consortium led by Amit Bhatia that also includes Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin.
“The announcement marks the next chapter in the commercial history of Liverpool FC and will represent the first change to the club’s principal partner in 17 years,” the club said in a statement on its official website.
“For more than 17 years as the club’s principal partner, Standard Chartered has played an important role in Liverpool’s recent history, sharing some of the club’s most significant moments and working alongside the club to make a positive contribution to supporters and communities around the world.
“From June 2027, Turkish Airlines will become Liverpool FC’s principal club partner, bringing together two organisations with a shared international reach and a commitment to connecting people around the world.”
