Mo Salah, Romelu Lukaku and Dušan Vlahović are among the global football stars who have arrived in the Turkish Süper Lig, setting the stage for a season that could establish the Turkish top flight as one of the most exciting leagues in Europe.
Questions have long surrounded Turkish clubs’ ability to sustain the kind of multi-million-euro salaries usually associated with Europe’s biggest clubs and the wealthy Saudi League.
Those doubts are increasingly being put to rest, particularly following Trabzonspor’s sensational signing of Salah. The Turkish club is reportedly paying the Egyptian forward €17.5 million per year.
Salah tops the Top 10 Highest-Paid Players in the Turkish Süper Lig 2026-27, a ranking compiled for the first time and exclusively by Finance Football.
The Trabzonspor forward has dethroned Victor Osimhen at the top of the ranking. The Nigerian striker earns €15 million per year at Galatasaray, excluding bonuses.
Fenerbahçe duo Ederson and Marco Asensio share third place, with both players earning around €12 million per season.
They are followed by their new teammates Romelu Lukaku and Mason Greenwood, who have joined Fenerbahçe from Napoli and Marseille, respectively. Both players earn €10 million per year.
Leroy Sané ranks seventh. The Galatasaray winger earns an annual salary of €9 million.
Behind the German is Dušan Vlahović, who has signed a contract worth €8 million per year with Beşiktaş through 2029.
Leandro Trossard has also recently joined the Istanbul club, with the Belgian forward earning €7.5 million per year.
