According to German newspaper Der Spiegel, Spanish Real Madrid earn €100 million a year from their Adidas deal.

Der Spiegel had published some more documents from Football Leaks and reveals that Adidas have committed to pay Real Madrid one billion Euro between 2015 and 2024.

Real Madrid will receive a fixed payment of €70 million each year, plus 22.5% of all sales of Real Madrid branded merchandise made by Adidas (Real Madrid will receive at least addtional €30 million per year + 22.5% of sales that exceed that sum).

There are also a set of bonuses that depends on the performance of Cristiano Ronaldo and his partners: for instance, if Real Madrid wins the league (as it probably will do) Adidas will pay up €2.5 million (this sum will rise to €3.5 million after 2020). The Champions League will mean that Adidas will have pay €5 million (this sum will rise to €7 million after 2020).

The kit manufacturer have been given exclusive rights to host all of Madrid’s trophy celebration events at the Cibeles fountain in the Spanish capital, where thousands of fans gather every time the club celebrate a triumph.

Remember that rivals Barcelona have agreed an extension to their kit-manufacturing deal with Nike which Spanish media reported was the most lucrative arrangement of its kind in the world.
