For the first time in a decade, the English Premier League is again the Best Football League in the World, according to International Federation of Football History & Statistics. “The domination of the Spanish La Liga ended so in 2019 after nine consecutive Awards. The performances of Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City contributed highly to the victory of the English Premier League in the annual Ranking of the Leagues determined by IFFHS”, explain the organization.
At the second place, the Brazilian Serie A or the Brasileirão has beaten Spanish La Liga. The Spanish league appears only at the third place in 2019. Brazil was second for the last time in 2012 and is the best league in South America, thanks to Flamengo’s performance last year.
In the fourth place is Italian Serie A, one position above than last year before the Primera A of Colombia, which lost one place.
Portuguesa Liga Nos made a great jump is the last two years. Portuguese league was in the position 16 in 2017 and 10 in 2018. In 2019 was the 6th best league is the world, according to IFFHS.
Portugal is one position ahead of LIGUE 1 of France (same place than last year). Eredivisie, the top league in Netherlands, won eight places in one year (15 in 2018) and coming back in the top 10 after seven years.
The Argentina’s Primera Division lost three places to be ranked at the 9th place before the Bundesliga of Germany at place 10, “his worst result since the creation of the World Ranking in 1991”.
